Description: This document describes how to connect to the Hatboro-Horsham School District network when you are not on site within the district.
Procedure This procedure reflects the status of the Cisco Secure Client at the time that this document was last updated:
1. Locate your Start Menu on your computer, click and then search for Software Center.

2. Open Software Center and Search for Cisco Secure Client.

3. Choose the Cisco Secure Client and click on Install to initiate the download and installation.

4. Your machine will begin downloading and installing the application.

5. When the installation completes, the status will change to “Installed”. You may close the Software Center now.

6. To initiate a connection to the district, search for Cisco Secure Client within your Start Menu.

7. The Cisco Secure Client will appear, ready to start he connection. If you do not see the Secure Client window, you may need to click on the Secure Client icon in your taskbar, near your clock.

8. If you see the server address populated, click Connect to initiate the connection. If your server address is blank, type in portal.hatboro-horsham.org and then click on Connect to initiate the connection.
9. When successful, you will be prompted to enter your username and password. Please use your network credentials that you utilize to login to computers and other district resources.

10. Upon successful authentication, please check your mobile device for a Cisco Duo prompt. Before completing the VPN connection, this second form of authentication is necessary to verify your identity. When the Duo Prompt appears, please select Allow to complete the connection.

11. Once the connection is established, you will see that you are connected within the Secure Client application.

12. You may now access internal resources such as the Financial System, Employee Time and Attendance, and any other internal system which was not accessible from outside of the district.
